HOW GREAT I AM!!!

“IMMA SHOW YOU HOW GREAT I AM!!!”
I will trust myself and acknowledge who I want to be
Not who my parents, teachers, or anyone else wants me to be
And I will take that acknowledgement and begin to transform into that person
Irrespective of who I am, or how bad I have it right now
“IMMA SHOW YOU HOW GREAT I AM!!!”
I will break the rules and think outside of the box
I will acknowledge the fact that no one that upheld the status quo became great
After all, what is the point of being here If I just want to be like everyone else?
So I will break the rules that condemn me to mediocrity
“IMMA SHOW YOU HOW GREAT I AM!!!”
I will not fear failure because if I do I will not push myself
I will push myself because I believe in myself and in my vision
I will never become paralyzed by fear
It doesn’t matter how much I fail because I know I will eventually succeed
“IMMA SHOW YOU HOW GREAT I AM!!!”
I will never listen to the naysayer
The people that say “it is impossible” or “it cant be done” have little imagination
The naysayer doesn’t know me or my determination
I will show them that they are wrong and my will shall vindicate my vision

I will work my butt off to achieve all that I desire
I will sleep only when I need to and push myself to the limits of my endurance
I know the road will be long and hard but I also know hard work is essential to success
And I will not relent even after I reach my goals, hard work is my ideology
“IMMA SHOW YOU HOW GREAT I AM!!!”
I will never again pass the buck of failure
I will not blame others for my hard luck in life
That is the act of a coward, and that is not me
I will be humble and grateful for what I have and work for what I don’t

I will not wait around for good things to happen
Blessings in life have to be willed into existence
I will with all my best effort will my blessings into existence
I will not waste precious time hoping for good things to manifest themselves

I will not make excuses to avoid hardships
Things that come easy are often the things that are not worth having
Success at anything takes dedication and motivation
Excuses are the worst enemy of both of these and is the murderer of success

I will not allow my base desires: food, sex, comforts to dictate my decisions
While these things make life great they must be controlled
Even the most successful person can fall if they don’t control their desires
My success will always come before my desires

I acknowledge that to succeed takes sacrifice
No one can do or have everything at once and sacrifices are a part of life
The important thing is that I sacrifice anything and everything to achieve greatness
It is in this way that when I succeed my sacrifices will be justifiable to myself

I will always give something back
When I am successful I will never fail to give something back
The feeling of greatness and glory will fade if you let it
Giving back will preserve that success and give me more satisfaction than anything

Midway through my life’s journey I have come to an impasse I have spent a great part of my life being underprivileged so much so that I started to internalize and believe it. But in truth I am one of the greats and I will show the world how great I always was. It may take a lifetime and I may even die having never tasted success but that is okay because people will remember me as a stand up guy who pushed himself everyday to be the best he could be and who took time to apply the right whenever possible. Imma show you how great I am!!!
